Since yesterday was a holiday we decided to organize a scavenger hunt for the girls. You would have thought that we were asking them to spend the night in a snake pit the way some of them were carrying on about it. I don’t get it; they weren’t being forced into anything. I guess they just like to complain. After it got started, and they got the hang of it they began to have fun. We had it set up so that different groups were starting at different points, but there were places where more than one clue was hidden. Some of the spots were obvious and the girls just began to take clues not realizing that there was supposed to be an order. Oh man, it became chaotic. It was a lot of fun though. We decided that we are going to reward the winning team with pizza!! I love pizza.

Right now, I am attempting to gather information for applying to education programs. It is taking much longer than it would at home, haha. I never knew internet could be this slow. I am learning about patience every time I check my email, facebook or whatever.

Last night we went to the matron’s house for dinner. Man it was so good. I never realized how much I love carrots until now. We don’t eat a lot of vegetables or fruit here. It’s always the same. We have coleslaw most days. Cabbage, beets, cucumbers, and tomatoes are the only vegetables I have come across in the dining hall. Apples and oranges are the only fruits. The oranges aren’t very good, I miss Buckbrand, and the apples are very small. I realize that this sounds like I’m complaining, which I am. I just really love food, and I am being denied. I just want some vegetables, and some fruit, but mostly vegetables. VEGETABLES!!!!!

LYLT!!
