I forgot to write about my scare.

Today I had my first encounter with a largeish bug. It was quite a shock as I have not seen anything too big up until now. I was walking along the path, minding my own business when my foot brushes against something. Naturally, I look down. What do I see? The biggest beetle of my life. I hate beetles a lot. I don’t really like any bugs that have long antennae, and beetles seem to have long ones.

It kind of looked like the beetle from Aladdin except it was not a cartoon. Once I realised what I was looking at and that I had just touched it with my foot I whimpered a lot. I whimpered and scurried about 10 m away while a child looked at me strangely.

I also saw a praying mantis last week, that wasn’t so bad though.
